Seriously, are these not two of the cutest little ones you have laid eyes on. These adorable Siblings were the first through the door for my 2016 Valentines Day Mini's. Mom was so prepared with her fabulous coordinating outfits and I must say she totally rocked it with both!

Hey, did you know that I love outfit changes and highly encourage them at all of my studio sessions. That's right, when booking a mini session or child milestone don't hesitate to bring a couple of outfits to choose from. It not only gives you a few different options in your gallery but it helps keep the kids interested when taking a moment to change things up a bit and it's also a good idea just incase there is a minor spillage of spit up scenario. We all know the little ones are not always that into posing on a "vintage box" for their entire session so keeping things fun by changing outfits, props or even backdrops takes the pressure off of them to be "on" the entire time and creates fabulous images for you to display in your home.

2016 - It's a Brand New Year and I've got some news to share...

2016 Is all about some fantastic changes for Mixx'd Kreations Photography. I'm so excited to implement some great additions to my business and streamline my business practice. Gosh, where do I start....

First, let me tell you all about my exciting new booking system. This automated system allows you to book any type of session directly from my website or Facebook page. You can check my schedule to find a date that works best for you, secure your booking online, receive booking confirmation and reminders. This takes away from the back and forth messaging to find the right time and date for us both. But don't fret, I'm on top of these bookings and you will not loose the personalization from me and you can always, email or message me to coordinate extra details for your session. Next, I'm excited to share with you my brand new website... I've spent the last month or so working on this and I'm pretty pleased. It offers my portfolio, contact information, booking options and also my brand new package list and pricing for 2016. You can check out my website HERE

My next fun announcement is my upgrades to my in home studio... Over the last few weeks I have streamlined my studio. I've changed my direction to more natural light. I've also added some pretty fabulous new back drops to my collection. Throughout the year I will continue to add more backdrops and props to offer the most creative and amazing sessions.

Each Month I will be doing a different themed mini session, they will either be in studio or on a predetermined location. These will be creative, fun, and classic. These sessions will have limited availability and will be posted as an event on my Facebook page. This Months mini session is geared towards Valentines Day.

Oh this is so fun.... Next Let me share my packages for 2016. On either my booking page or my website you will now have the opportunity to review my packages and choose the best fit for you and then book your session right away.

You'll notice I've added a brand new package this year, I'm so excited to introduce "The Ultimate Story". This package is designed for those of you who want the upmost creativity from your session, this allows you to bring to life that beautiful vision you have always wanted to capture.

The Ultimate Story session will tell a story or a showcase a dream or vision you have in images, it will include a video and 20+ images of this incredible day. We will coordinate through calls, texts and emails regarding planning. We will plan outfits, location, make up and hair (if applicable). I will spend 2 hours shooting to capture a creative, unforgettable session. Every detail will be captured and amazing enhancements will be added during editing to complete your story.

I'm so beyond excited for this session that I'm conducting a casting call. I can't wait to put all of these words into images and video to share what The Ultimate Story will offer. SO.... PORTRAIT PARTIES

Have some friends? Want to host a party? Book at least 4+ friends and your session is free!
Portrait parties bring together friends and family for affordable professional portraits taken in a casual, relaxed environment.

Portrait Parties are great for people who:
* are on a budget but still want professional photos taken of their children or themselves.
* need updated photos of their kiddos.
* have always wanted to try a “themed” session.

What is a Portrait Party?
A portrait party is an event hosted in your home or a near by location (parks are great!) where Mixx'd Kreations Photography will take professional portraits for you and your friends in 20 minute mini-sessions.

How do they work?
Portrait Parties are hosted by one person who provides the location, coordinates the guest list,  schedules the sessions in 20 minute intervals and collects the fees. Hostess get a free photo session with 4+ booked guests.

Here’s what to do:

• Pick a date that you want to have a party.
• Secure your date with Mixx'd Kreations Photography.
• Once the date is confirmed then I will send you invitations and a hostess packet filled with information that you need to know.
• On party day I show up 30 minutes before hand to get ready.
• The party begins – I photograph each child/family in their session
• Images are delivered digitally within 2-3 weeks.
  It’s All About FUN
  Encourage your guests to bring hats, fairy wings, princess crowns, superhero costumes, bubbles, that special outfit and any other props that they would like to use to make their photos memorable of their child’s unique stage of life.
  
  Play with Themes
  Time to get CREATIVE ~ here are some suggestions:
• Cupcakes and Sweets
• Pretty in Pink 
• Pajama Party
• Sports and Stuff
  
• Superheros
• Father’s Day gifts & Mother’s Day gifts
• Tea Party
• Holidays (St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween or Christmas)

Tips for a Successful Host

• Schedule your party for a time that most children will be happy and cooperative - avoid nap times or close to dinner.
• Have snacks (it keeps the little ones busy who are waiting for their turn). You can provide snacks yourself or do it potluck style have everyone bring something to share.
• Schedule your guests’ sessions 20 min apart. Schedule them consecutively (i.e. 10, 10:20, 10:40, etc). Let  your guests know they aren’t required to stay the whole time.
• Follow up with your guests with reminders via email or through social networking avenues.

The only money you are responsible for collecting is the initial fee ($40/guest). Guests may pay in cash or check- with checks made out to Rebecca Ireland. Guests want to order more images, you can let them know they can order directly from me.  And remember: As a hostess, you receive one 20 minute session complimentary.

2014 Contest & Promotion Recap

I hope I haven't overwhelmed you with all of our promotions and contests, I'm just so excited for what 2014 has in store and I just LOVE sharing my excitement. I also hope that you are not missing out on any of these promotions or free sessions. Here's a brief recap of what's going on through.

Maternity Session
These have to be one of my favorite - My camera simply can't resist capturing that beautiful glow and glorious bump each Mom-to-be proudly shows off. I absolutely love to personalize each session with a bit of Mom and Dad's personalities, it's an amazing time in their lives and I am thrilled I get to create memories for them.  This Mom to be was just as I mentioned, her glow was glorious and I enjoyed working with her and her Hubby and I can't wait to meet the little lady who will steal their hearts.

What a wonderful Newborn session. Miss K was quite happy nestled in the arms of Mommy and Daddy allowing us to capture some great lifestyle shots. She worked up quite the appetite in her very first modeling session. Mom and Dad were well equipt for this hungry little lady.

Such a great tip for all new Moms and Dads, little ones can work up quite an appetite and require several feedings during a photography session. Be sure to bring along plenty of supplies.

SUCH A GREAT SPORT...

The little man had the sweetest nature, we had fun with different hats and baskets and "posing".

What size is right?

You finally got your online gallery of your recent family photo session and are you just can't wait to order prints. You've got the perfect wall in mind for that beautiful family shot, and then, it hits you,  you feel dumbfounded - a simple drop down menu with the print size has left you in a state of confusion.... what size print should you order? Many times we don't realize how large the walls in our home are and how easily a beautiful print can be eaten up.

Here's a great pictorial to give you an idea of just what size might be best. While I know cost has a factor in order prints - don't forget many print shops offer discounts - and while it may seem easier to print it locally at the corner store (it's that's "instant gratification thing" - I know I get it). But, not only do you get what you pay for, also keep in mind - you wouldn't order your prescription medicine from a photography printer, now would you?
